Practical AI for Tourism and Hospitality Teams

Lumeva works with tour operators, homestay networks and hotel teams across Selangor and beyond. We build multilingual content, visitor-facing tools and staff programmes that fit the way your operation actually runs — not a one-size pitch from somewhere else.

Who We Are

Built Here, for Here

Lumeva started in Kuala Selangor in 2022, when a small team noticed that most AI tools being sold to Malaysian tourism businesses were designed for markets with very different languages, seasons and guest expectations. The product might be clever. It just didn't fit.

We take a different approach. Before anything gets built or written, we spend time with your operation — understanding which markets you're reaching, what your staff already know, and where the friction actually sits. Then we scope something proportionate: a content project that runs three weeks, a widget tuned to your own listings, or a training programme spread across twelve weeks so it sticks.

Our editors are native speakers of Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Korean. Our developers know how hospitality systems behave at the property level. Small operators and district tourism offices come to us because we don't oversell and we don't disappear after delivery.

Why Lumeva

What Operators Notice First

We hear the same things from clients a few weeks in. These aren't promises — they're the patterns we see from the work.

Scoped to your size

A homestay network with twelve units doesn't need the same scope as a hotel chain. We adjust the deliverable to what you'll actually use.

Fixed timelines

Content projects run three weeks. Widget builds run nine. Staff programmes run twelve, with a follow-up built in. You know when things land.

Native-speaker review

Every piece of content goes through a human editor in the target language before it reaches your guests. We don't publish raw model output.

Your listings, not ours

The itinerary assistant pulls from your own catalogue — your activities, your opening times, your links. It doesn't route visitors somewhere else.

One point of contact

You speak to the same person from briefing through delivery. No account manager handoffs, no support queue for something that should take two emails.

Works with what you have

We don't ask you to rebuild your CMS or change your booking platform. Everything we produce plugs into existing workflows — web pages, email templates, printed quick-reference cards.

Content Reach

English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Korean — in One Project

Most tourism operators manage one or two languages well and guess at the rest. When a Korean tour group books through a Mandarin-language agent, the visitor information at the destination is still in Bahasa Malaysia or English only — and something gets lost at every step.

The Tourism Content Localisation project covers all four languages in a single three-week run. You get a terminology glossary for local place names, drafts of up to sixty pieces, and a reviewed final set ready to publish. The style sheet we produce stays with your team for future updates.

Visitor Tools

An Itinerary Assistant That Lives on Your Site

Visitors arrive with no plan and leave before they've seen half of what you offer. The Itinerary Assistant Widget changes that by helping them build a realistic day from your own listings — factoring in travel times between Kuala Selangor's firefly jetties, mangrove boardwalks and riverside cafes.

It responds in four languages, always links to your underlying pages and hands off to a human enquiry when it can't help. The editor console lets your team adjust content without calling us. The six-week tuning period after launch means it improves as real usage patterns come in.

Team Capability

Staff Who Know What to Use and What to Check

Front-desk teams are already using AI drafting tools, often without any guidance on where errors slip in. The Hospitality Team Programme runs eight sessions across shifts over twelve weeks, so it reaches staff on evenings and weekends — the hours when most guest correspondence actually happens.

Quick-reference cards in four languages go up at the workstation. A correspondence template set covers the most common guest scenarios. At week ten, a follow-up visit checks adoption and adjusts anything that isn't landing.

How We Work

Steady Work, Honest Scope

We've been part of the Kuala Selangor tourism community since 2022. These are the principles we apply to every project.

Human-reviewed output

No content leaves without a native-speaker editor reading it. Model drafts are a starting point.

Defined project windows

Three, nine or twelve weeks. You know the timeline at the start — not after the first invoice.

Data handled carefully

Guest data stays on your systems. We work with your listings, not copies of your booking records.

Honest about scope

We'll tell you if a programme is bigger than you need. We've turned down projects that wouldn't have worked.

Our Approach

How We Think About AI and Tourism

Tools should serve the operator, not the other way around

Tourism in Selangor and across Malaysia runs on relationships and local knowledge. AI tools that need to be fed and managed constantly take time that front-desk staff don't have. We build things that run quietly and stay out of the way.

Local context matters more than the latest model

A newer language model doesn't automatically know that the firefly season in Kampung Kuantan runs from March through October, or that Korean visitors expect very different pacing than European ones. Context is what makes output useful — and we supply that context.

Build capability, not dependency

When a content project or training programme ends, you should be able to continue without calling us every time. Every delivery includes reference materials, documented processes and — for the staff programme — a supervisor routine so the knowledge stays in your team.

Services & Pricing

Three Programmes

Each one is a defined scope with a fixed timeline and a single price. No add-ons that turn up after the first week.

How It Works

From First Call to Final Delivery

1

Scoping call

We spend 45–60 minutes understanding your operation: which markets you serve, what's working, where the friction is. No slide deck. At the end you'll have a clear sense of whether any of our programmes fit.

2

Brief and confirmation

We write a one-page brief covering scope, deliverables, timeline and price. You confirm or push back. Work starts once you're satisfied — typically within a few days.

3

Delivery and handover

Work is delivered in stages so you can see progress and flag anything early. Final delivery includes all files, documentation and the reference materials your team keeps. For the staff programme, a written adoption summary follows the week-ten visit.

Feedback

From Operators We've Worked With

We ran the content localisation for our Taman Alam firefly package. The Korean copy in particular felt noticeably more natural than what we'd been posting. Our Korean-speaking agent actually commented without being asked.

The itinerary widget went live in early June. The analytics after the first month showed that visitors using it spent about 40% longer on the site and clicked through to at least three activity pages. Our enquiries from the website went up in the same period.

We put thirty-five front-desk staff through the programme across three properties. The quick-reference cards are still pinned up at reception. The supervisor review routine was the part I underestimated — it kept the habits in place after the sessions ended.

Common Questions

FAQ

Do I need to understand AI to work with Lumeva?
No. You need to know your operation — the markets you're reaching, the languages your guests speak, what your staff find difficult. We handle the technical side. Most of what we discuss in the scoping call sounds like ordinary business problems, not technology questions.
What's included in the RM 580 content project?
A terminology glossary for your local place names, tone guidance for each of the four target markets, drafts of up to sixty content pieces, editorial review by native speakers, and a final style sheet you can use for future content. There's also one training session with your marketing team. The three-week timeline starts once you've confirmed the brief.
Can the itinerary widget work with our existing website?
In most cases, yes. The widget embeds via a short code snippet — similar to adding a chat widget or a booking calendar. We need access to your listings data (activities, accommodation, opening times) and a way to test the integration. We'll check compatibility in the scoping call before any commitment is made.
The staff programme runs twelve weeks — is that consecutive weeks?
The eight sessions are spread across twelve calendar weeks, not eight consecutive weeks. This gives staff time to apply what they've learned between sessions, and gives supervisors a chance to flag anything that needs reinforcement. The spacing is part of why adoption tends to stick.
Do you work with smaller operations or just large properties?
The content localisation project suits operators of any size — a single homestay with one host can benefit from having four-language descriptions ready. The itinerary widget works best when you have a catalogue of ten or more activities. The staff programme is designed for teams of 20 to 150, but we've adapted it for smaller groups when the structure makes sense.
What happens to our data during a project?
We work with the content and operational data you share for the specific project — listings, opening times, existing copy. We don't retain it after delivery. Guest personal data stays on your own systems; we never ask for access to reservation records or guest databases. Our full privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
